Wow! What a great Sunday morning. It has been a wonderful Mother’s Day and church was awesome. (I seem to be using that word a lot anymore….) I had record attendance in KIDMO this morning. The KIDMO lesson we did was the best one we’ve done yet I think. We had a handful of visitors in the children’s department and church was full of new adults and families! Woo Hoo!!!! Follow-up, follow-up, follow-up… Any ideas for systems?

Anyways, I saw a group of my Wednesday night neighborhood kids at church on a Sunday for the FIRST TIME! That left me stoked. It’s working!!! I am passionate and love seeing kids grow. Seeing kids that were once disconnected from church coming whenever they can. It rocks. My prayer is that they continue coming and that one day their families will come too. It’s so awesome to see a family legacy and a family change start with the children.

Mothers left today feeling inspired, special, and worthy. That was our goal and we did an awesome job of providing that environment. God provided the rest! I am excited that tomorrow I am meeting with a potential volunteer in the children’s ministry department. He used to do children’s ministry and has always been involved in it. I have been praying for someone to help with the elementary department and a male presence is SO NEEDED!

We have a lot of things coming up in the fall, BIG CHANGES and new things and I am so excited. I know God is going to grow the children of Dutch Fork and the children’s ministry as we continue to seek Him, plan excellent experiences, and build relationships with these kids. I’m ready.

I am fully aware of Satan’s attack this week after having such an awesome Sunday. I’m on guard.

Had a GREAT Sunday at church. God was moving – you could so feel it. I don’t know whay I am surprised by such things when I earnestly pray for them.

Had great attendance in Children’s Church — still need new name — any suggestions? KIDMO is getting on my nerves a bit, so we’ll see where that goes. I am still thinking of making to move to Elevate in the Fall. We actually could have had record attendance for the kids today if one family had been at church. So that is great.

JD did an awesome job preaching this morning. He got quite a bit of positive feedback. I really think the message God laid on his heart to speak was one that was ordained for our church for the moment in time we’re in. We had a TON of first time visitors. Now the key is to following up with them and getting them back. I just have to say God is SO GOOD.

Well, off to take a nap. Not much exciting today. :-)

*Great attendance this morning for the kids at church. (We still call it Children’s Church and I loathe that name. Can’t come up with a more creative one at the moment…)

*Great seeing first time visiting kids

*Tomorrow is surgery for my mother-in-law recently diagnosed with breast cancer and a dr. appt. with our pastor’s wife who is thinking she may have lukemia.

*ALOT of work at the office tomorrow – need to refigure ages & classes, get read for team meeting on Tues. night and staff meeting of Tues.

*Ahhhh…what are the “trying threes” going to be like with Cade

*Laundry….that’ll get its own post…

*I’m jealous of all the church leaders going to the National New Church Conference that I keep reading about. I’m ready to read their blog posts on what they’ve gathered from it. In some ways the thought of being a new church and church planting intrugues me.

*Need to go address 150 envelopes for a friend’s wedding
